Frequently Asked Questions
Sometimes you can see a word, but when you click tiles, it just won't form up. There are at least four reasons this happens, but don't panic! We have the solutions below:
A word list is used determine which of your words are valid.
Our word list is based on the Internet Scrabble Club Tournament Word List of over 160,000 English words, supplemented with a spattering
of proper nouns such as common country and place names.
Words are detected automatically whenever you click a tile.
All associated tiles are examined to detect a common word in the range of 3-6 letters.
The highest scoring word is selected automatically. We may be scoring a singular bonus word higher than its plural.
To score uncommon words or those longer than six letters, use the
Alt-click technique:

You can play Solitaire, Competitive or Paper versions.
Solitaire Mode

The pencil and paper version lets you play a word-search-like game. Generate your own puzzles to print and take on your trips.
It is available for syndication by newspapers on an annual basis.
Daily Word Rotation is a daily competive puzzle where you try to get the best daily score
from a set of letters that everyone gets to see. Compete against world-wide players for the highest score.
The game is not timed, so you can take your time to try different words to maximize your score.
Each day a new game is made available and high scores are maintained in a monthly leaderboard.
Letters are scored using the standard values set by Scrabble ™.
In Dictionary mode, your score is the total of all letters for valid words. If you match the bonus word, you get additional points. In Solitaire mode, your score is the total of all letters for valid words. However, in Competitive play, your score is also increased for longer words and for matching the bonus word. For each word made, you get a bonus of 1 point for every extra letter beyond three letters. For example QUIZ will net you a total of 23 points from Q+U+I+Z (22) plus 1 because of the 4th letter, while BESIEGE nets you 10 (base) + 4 (bonus) = 14 points. In competitive play, making longer words becomes more important. With a Themed game, words matching those in the preset list are given bonus points. In a Constrained game, your words must start, contain or ending with one or more letters. for example words that contain "Q" or words that start with "TH". All words must match the constraint to be scored. |
